To try and save my mother the worry of having to forward my e-mails, we decided to set up a little blog that she can just post them to. This way she can relate all of the fabulous times I'm having preaching the gospel and wearing pioneer clothes to the general public :) Also- she can put up my current address and what not just in the off chance that you want to write to me!! (which would be greatly appreciated! I'm sure you'll receive lots of blessings if you do :) )
As many of you may know, I was not overly excited about going to a Visitor's Center on my mission, at least initially. I can tell you now that there is honestly nothing I would rather be doing than serving the Lord! I do feel that Nauvoo is going to be just the place for me, and a place where I will be able to accomplish the most good in bringing the gospel to people around the world. It's only a few days until I go into the MTC, and I figure I should be a lot more nervous/excited/crazy but I do just feel this overwhelming calm. I attribute that to the fact I know that I'm doing the right thing, at the right time, and I'll be in the right place. I am SO grateful for my amazing family who have always supported me and provided an atmosphere that led me to know the truthfulness of the gospel. I am also grateful for friends who make it easy for me to choose the right. I honestly am amazed at how lucky I am to be able to go on a mission! I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true. I'm SO excited to be able to be at a place that was so pivotal in the early history of the Church and to gain a better testimony and appreciation of the lives of the early Saints, particularly Joseph Smith. I love the Lord. I love the gospel. I'll see you in a year and a half :)
